Warehouse unit with two storey office accommodation

This project involved construction of a new build warehouse unit totalling 89,000ft2. Associated offices and external works also formed part of the project. The building was developed on a speculative basis, the site itself is on the footprint of an old bakery facility, our works included remediation of historical contamination, diversion of a number of existing services and bulk earthworks to prepare the site.

Additional constraints on site included the main train line to London on the eastern boundary and the M25 motorway on the northern boundary. We utilised vibro stone column techniques to minimise the size of the deep concrete foundations that would have been required. The buildings have been construction to achieve an EPC ‘A’ rating.
